COACHING

How does it actually work?

 

Our two coaching options will cover your needs throughout the training year.

We always begin with a detailed application and a one-on-one coaching call to get to know you better. We’ll discuss your training history, what makes you tick, your goals, what’s worked well for you, nutrition, technique, motivation and athlete mindset, and everything in between. From there, everything for you is built from the ground up and tailored to your needs.

 

Weekly comprehensive coaching

Our most complete option. Weekly training, continually modified.

Athletes who choose our weekly coaching option send and receive in-depth video updates on a weekly basis, covering lifting technique, broad changes to training stress, exercise selection, sets and reps, nutrition, mindset, and modifications to all of that, continually. With the depth and scope of weekly updates, it’s no surprise that coach and athlete get to know each other on a deeper level, and we use our experience in coach-athlete relationships to maximize your abilities both inside the gym and out. Athlete education is built in, as you ask questions throughout the weeks, progressing to higher totals.

You receive detailed training plans, guidance on nutrition, warmup, a detailed reference database on sports psychology, yearly periodization support, and autonomy support through the use of autoregulation and combined top-down and bottom-up training methods. Your training evolves with you and is informed by your training process at all times. It’s a living document.

Custom Training Cycle

Affordable, completely customized training built from the ground up.

For athletes who are more self-sufficient, our custom training cycles are every bit as good as weekly coaching. You simply don’t update us on a weekly basis. Instead, we’ll build 10-12 weeks of customized training for you that fits with your goals, your ideas about how you progress best, our own expert guidance on how to help you succeed, and a plan for the future. We design these to be chained together throughout the year, continually modifying training as you get close to competitions or enter a deep offseason of growth. Plus, every follow-up training cycle is 20% off!

Training cycles can be used for meet prep or off-season and are equally useful for each. If you’re getting ready for a meet, we include attempt selection as well. We train top athletes with custom training cycles just as often as we train athletes receiving weekly coaching.
